Installation Thermo King SL is a monoblock stand-alone diesel unit for heating and cooling, running under the control of a programmable microprocessor controller. The units are located in the front of the trailer, so that the evaporator protrudes from the hole in the front wall.

There are several models:

• SL-100e, SL-200e and SL-400e model 30: heating and cooling when running from a diesel engine.

• SL-100e, SL-200e and SL-400e model 50: heating and cooling when running from a diesel engine or from an electric motor.

• Spectrum SL 30: cooling and heating of the sectioned load compartment of the trailer when working from a diesel engine.

• Spectrum SL 50: cooling and heating of the sectioned load compartment of the trailer when working from a diesel engine or from an electric motor.

The drive is from a 4-cylinder diesel engine with water cooling and direct fuel injection. The motor is directly connected to the compressor. By means of the belt drive, energy is transferred to the fans, alternator and water pump of the installation. When operating from a diesel engine, the unit can operate in one of the following modes, depending on the air temperature in the trailer, as measured by the microprocessor controller.
